Oroville was using a traditional storage solution – a typical server packed with hard drives. They had been putting off implementing a more advanced solution because of the expenses they would incur. Two years ago, Oroville Hospital moved into the electronic health industry as the healthcare sector began transitioning everything to a digital format. Oroville was quickly running out of room as their integrated patient imaging system (scanned patient charts and insurance cards) was using all of their storage capacity. Their iSCSI SAN was maxed.
