Storage in the Next Generation Data Center

Scale Computing hired Harte-Hanks to survey storage decision makers in companies with 4,000 employees and fewer. The research confirmed economists’ predictions: 2009 was a wash; 2010 would bring back spending. In fact, 68 percent of those surveyed said they planned to increase storage spending in 2010.

While promising, that percentage doesn‘t tell the entire story. The economic collapse had reset not only the economy, but entire storage purchasing strategies. Thinking outside the box was important; doing more with less would be the prevailing mindset well into the future.
